From the second half of July, Russians began to actively prepare for the start of the new school season, according to a press release from the largest Russian online retailer.
In particular, according to Wildberries, in the second half of July the demand for low shoes (by 91%), shoes (by 62%), and sneakers (by 35%) increased. Traditionally, the peak demand for children's clothing and footwear is expected in the second half of August, when children return from their holiday destinations.
Wildberries is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 15 years. The geography of the company's presence covers seven countries: Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. As of May, 2020, 780 thousand orders are processed daily on Wildberries. The company has over 10,5 thousand points of issue of orders: 7500 own points of delivery (pickup points) and 3 partner checkpoints.
