Wildberries notes an increase in demand for felt boots

The December frosts in Russia provoked an increase in demand for felt boots, earflaps and fur coats, says Wildberries. From December 1 to December 20, compared to the same period last year, sales of felt boots in pieces increased 2,5 times. Galoshes are also purchased for felt boots, the demand for which in the reporting period doubled year-on-year.

Winter hats popular with Russians in 2021 included earflaps (sales in pieces grew 3 times year-on-year) and traditional Russian downy shawls and shawls (sales increased 2 times year-on-year). Eco-friendly faux fur coats are also popular. Overall, the sales of fur coats in the first half of December 2021 on the Wildberries online platform were four times higher than the sales of fur coats in the same period in 2020.

As calculated in the analytical service of the online retailer, the most active buyers of fur coats live in Kostroma (sales in pieces increased 8 times year on year) and Kirov (7 times) regions, as well as in Karachay-Cherkessia (7 times), Kabardino -Balkaria (6 times) and Buryatia (6 times).

Wildberries Is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 17 years. The geography of the company's presence covers 19 countries: Russia, Turkey, USA, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and others. Wildberries turnover in 2020 increased by 96% and reached 437,2 billion rubles. 3 million orders are processed daily on Wildberries, the audience of the online retailer is over 108 million people.

As of December 1, 2021, over 450 Russian entrepreneurs sell their goods through Wildberries. The Wildberries assortment includes 000 million SKUs of goods from 18 Russian and foreign brands: clothing and footwear, accessories, beauty products, baby products, appliances and electronics, household goods, jewelry, food, books, digital goods and much more. About 210% of the goods are produced in Russia.
