Wildberries celebrates the growth of premium segment products on its platform

According to the results of the 3rd quarter of 2020, the turnover of premium goods increased by 109% compared to the same period last year, sales in pieces increased by 97% year-on-year, '' Wildberries said in an analytical report.

In addition, we have signed an exclusive contract with the German premium brand AIGNER, which has decided to enter the Russian online market together with Wildberries, ”says Vyacheslav Ivaschenko, Wildberries Development Director. 

Wildberries analyzed orders and made the TOP-10 of the most popular premium brands in the fashion category, the top ten included such brands as Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Hugo, EA7, Ash, Liu Jo, Michael Kors, Love Moschino, Diesel, Coccinelle. 

It is worth noting that until recently, the Wildberries platform was perceived by consumers as an online store focused on the sale of mass-market goods, where you can often buy goods at more favorable prices than in traditional retail stores. Because of this, some brands preferred to diversify their assortment, displaying lower price category goods on Wildberries and placing premium lines on other sites. In particular, this policy was adopted at the beginning of this year by the Italian footwear brand Geox, which offered exceptionally inexpensive shoes made from cheaper materials in the children's range at Wildberries. This year, Geox children's sneakers with a genuine leather upper could be found on Mytoys.ru; in the adult assortment, the site Lamoda.ru successfully competed with Wildberries, but now the situation may change.


Wildberries Is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 15 years. The geography of the company's presence covers eight countries: Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Ukraine. Wildberries turnover in 2019 grew by 88% and reached 223,5 billion rubles, in 9 months of 2020 - by 104% to 285,6 billion rubles.

As of September 2020, more than 1 million orders are processed daily on Wildberries. The company has over 25 thousand points of issue of orders.
