Small businesses in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are increasingly entering the site of the Wildberries online retailer. In the 1st quarter of 2022, the number of entrepreneurs from the EAEU countries increased 13 times compared to the same period in 2021.
In the CIS countries, in January-March 2022, local businesses increased sales of their own products through the Russian Wildberries online platform by 357% year-on-year to RUB 1,9 billion.
“Wildberries continues to develop an online platform for both Russian entrepreneurs and small businesses from other countries. We are opening new logistics centers, which allows us to launch direct deliveries from local businesses, create new jobs and expand the range of products on the marketplace,” the Wildberries press service said.
The largest volume of imports (about 53%) from the EAEU countries fell on clothing. Another 18% - for cosmetics and perfumes, about 6% - for household goods.
Wildberries is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 17 years. The geography of the company's presence covers all regions of Russia, as well as a number of foreign countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, etc. Turnover of Wildberries in 2021 grew by 93% and reached 844 billion rubles. Every day, 4 million orders are placed on Wildberries, the monthly audience of the online retailer is over 113 million users (MAU).
As of April 2022, over 650 Russian entrepreneurs sell their goods through Wildberries. The Wildberries range includes about 000 million SKUs of goods from 28 Russian and foreign brands: clothing and footwear, accessories, beauty products, children's products, appliances and electronics, household goods, jewelry, food, books, digital goods and much more . About 300% of goods are produced in Russia.
