To celebrate its 17th anniversary, the Russian online retailer Wildberries is organizing a sale, in which the marketplace sellers are invited to take part - the partners of the online retailer must set discounts on goods from 5 to 20%, depending on the turnover and category of goods. Refusal to participate in the promotion entails an increase in commission by 12% for Wildberries sellers (for goods from the seller's warehouse - by 8%), writes The Bell.
Journalists for the publication refer to the letter that the online retailer sent to its suppliers. The letter also says that the commission for the participants of the action will decrease by 5%, but the total commission will be at least 3%. For goods from the seller's warehouse, the commission will be reduced by 2%. The Wildberries sale will run from October 9 to October 21 inclusive and will cover a wide range of goods, from clothing and shoes to electronics.
In the Wildberries press service, the change in the terms of trade on the online platform is explained by the rush demand during the sales period and the increased load on the company's logistics system.
