The story of Brooklyn brand MSCHF's oversized rubber boots continues. The last time they made a fuss in the auditorium at the Rick Owens menswear show. Now they have already appeared on the podium.
At Tokyo Fashion Week, Japanese street style brand Bape updated their collection with the viral MSCHF Big Red Boot. The boots were presented with signature military print Bape Cloud Camo in different colors. However, brands do not claim this as a collaboration.
It's just that Bape approached the MSCHF for a few pairs of Big Red Boots, and the Brooklyn-based art collective agreed. And judging by the photo, for the fashion show, Bape redesigned the shoes, using a film similar to vinyl, which is used in car tuning.
Red big boots MSCHF made a splash at the beginning of this year, many celebrities drew attention to the unusual model. Collaborating with Crocs, the viral boots turned yellow with holes in the Classic Clog style this July and are back in the spotlight. The price for the yellow pair was $450.
