Unichel aims at Kazakhstan

Unichel will open 20 brand stores in Kazakhstan over the next five years.

The Ural shoemaker has already begun implementing this strategy, opening three stores in December - in Kostanay, Aktobe and Uralsk. Also, by the end of this year, stores will be opened in Kokshetau and Petropavlovsk.

The pricing policy of the Ural brand for Kazakhstan will not change: comfortable shoes for every day in the middle price segment will be presented in stores. The format of the family store will also be preserved, shoe-makers will offer men's, women's and children's shoes to Kazakh buyers.

“We have long considered Kazakhstan“ our ”region, we see it as a good potential for development,” said Vladimir Denisenko, General Director of the Unichel shoe factory. - The climate here is very similar to ours: long winters, low temperatures, cold winds. Our footwear is best known and loved in the Urals and Siberia - in regions where high-quality leather and natural fur are not a luxury, but a climate requirement ”.

The federal chain "Unichel" is one of the three largest, it has 460 brand stores in 130 regions of Russia. The most densely Ural footwear manufacturers have established a foothold in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, in the republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, the Krasnoyarsk Territory. There are about 40 stores in each of these regions.

As noted at a Russian factory, today about a dozen shoe factories operate in Kazakhstan, but most of them specialize in the production of shoes by state order for military personnel, workers of industrial enterprises and other categories of the population using special clothing.

With a rational consumption of shoes 2,6 pairs per year, Kazakhstan with a population of more than 17 million people is a promising market. Currently, the need for footwear in the republic is being solved through imports. But at the same time 90% of imported shoes does not meet quality standards.
