Yunichel sells two of its three production assets

The Chelyabinsk shoe holding Yunichel has put two of its production assets up for sale – the Yunichel-Zlato shoe factory in the city of Zlatoust in the Chelyabinsk region and an enterprise in Orenburg, reports the Chelyabinsk City Portal 74.ru.

The production site in Zlatoust as a ready-made business is offered for purchase for 350 million rubles. The offer to sell a ready-made shoe manufacturing business was posted on several Internet sites, including Avito.

A shoe factory located in Zlatoust on Kosmonavtov Street, 3, is being sold together with a hectare of land. The main building consists of two buildings and is L-shaped. The main production building has 4 floors and an administrative and production building has 5 floors, one underground (a bomb shelter), the ad says. The total area is 9995,1 sq. m, including a one-story cinder block extension at the end of the building with an area of 66,8 sq. m and a special basement with an area of 320,9 sq. m.

The property complex also includes a transformer substation, a gas boiler house, chemical and mechanical shops, a metal warehouse and a garage.

The factory produces footwear from genuine leather. The production complex includes one cutting section, eight preparation flows, two sewing flows, the announcement states. The annual output, according to the results of 2023, is 438,4 thousand pairs. There are 477 employees at the Yunichel-Zlato enterprise in Zlatoust.

CJSC Yunichel-Zlato was founded in 1993. It produces and sells footwear and is part of the Yunichel shoe holding. It specializes in the production of school shoes for boys and men's shoes. In 2023, Yunichel-Zlato's revenue amounted to RUB 300 million, profit - RUB 19,6 million.

The holding company "Yunichel" currently includes three factories - in Chelyabinsk, Zlatoust and Orenburg. As the management of the holding company explained to journalists, the company is looking for a buyer for two of its assets, as it wants to focus on developing its key production in Chelyabinsk. The reason is the difficult economic situation, the rise in the cost of loans, and the increased competition due to the growth of shoe imports from China.

The holding company "Yunichel" is one of the three largest footwear manufacturers in Russia. In 2023, the revenue of JSC "Shoe firm "Yunichel" amounted to 4,1 billion rubles, gross profit 837 million rubles.
