Unichel will increase production by 9%

This year, the Chelyabinsk shoe manufacturer Unichel will be able to increase production by 9% compared to the production of 2017 of the year, to 2 million 150 thousand pairs, the company said in a press release to the Shoes Report.

The general order for the production of such a volume of shoes was formed by buyers who arrived at the Unichel factory from the cities of Russia and Kazakhstan. The Unichel spring-summer 2019 collection includes 280 new styles (621 base model and 1189 models in colors).

The company noted an increase in demand for injection shoes. This is due to the ease and wear resistance of such models, as well as a more affordable price, which plays a key role in the context of a decrease in real incomes of the population and the level of purchasing power. “We are striving to provide the buyer with genuine leather shoes on a natural pad and at an affordable price,” the company commented.

The order for the production of direct cast shoes in the spring-summer collection 2019 (of different age and gender groups) amounted to 797 thousand pairs, the adhesive range - 1 million 250 thousand pairs.

In addition to increasing production volumes, the company notes that for a number of models it was possible to increase serial production in 2 times, which entails a reduction in production costs. For example, in the line of small children’s shoes, the model leader in terms of seriality are low shoes for velcro made of genuine leather, presented in 4 colors. This model received an order for 9 thousand pairs. It is noted that, on average, seriality increased to 9 thousand pairs for individual models, unlike last year, where this indicator remained at the level of 3-4 thousand pairs per model.
