The Po-Zu shoe brand is recognized as the most environmentally responsible.
British entrepreneur and owner of the Po-Zu footwear brand Sven Segal this year was named the most environmentally responsible footwear man and at the same time Entrepreneur of the Year according to the organizers of the 2012 PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS.
The idea of creating the brand came to Sigal in 2006, and the reason for its appearance was a protest against traditional shoe production, which is highly polluting the environment. He developed a design that allows you to connect the top with the sole without glue and without a significant appreciation of technology.
The method is deliberately not patented so that other shoe companies can also switch to using it. Recycled materials are used for production. The company supports local small businesses and selects suppliers from those close to the footwear manufacturing site. The factory in Portugal is 43% powered by renewable energy. Although the company itself remains very local - since the launch of the brand, about 50 thousand pairs of shoes have been sold, but the geography of sales includes the whole world - Canada, Japan, the countries of the Middle East, Europe.
3% of online sales are donated to charities. Last year, a special line of shoes was created for Timberland, also known for its attention to the environment. Based on materials from the site analpa.ru.
