The creators of capsule collections can be not only famous designers and celebrities, but also architects. For example, Zaha Hadid, a British architect of Arab origin, and the first ever female architect to be awarded the Pritzker Prize, was the guest author of the capsule collection for the United Nude brand. It is also worth noting that Zaha is a student of Rem Koolhaas, the world's most famous Dutch architect and the co-founder of the United Nude brand.
Zaha Hadid designed the shoes in the style of deconstructivism in which she works. Twisted skyscraper shoes look like stacks of slightly deformed chrome plates. The heel and platform are made of fiberglass, and inside the shoes are trimmed with leather. A similar design shoe design conveys a sense of movement characteristic of Hadid's work.
“I have always appreciated those who dare to experiment with materials and proportions,” says Zaha Hadid. "Our collaboration with United Nude allows us to rethink the classic look of shoes, expanding the boundaries without the need to find an acceptable compromise."
Skyscraper shoes are made in several colors: black, silver, bronze and gold and in European sizes from 35 to 40 at a price of $ 2000. Unusual shoes are presented in Zaha Hadid Design stores and the United Nude online store, as well as in several boutiques in Europe.
Recall that Zaha Hadid is not the first time creating a shoe design for famous brands - in 2008 she released a limited edition shoes for the Brazilian brand Melissa, and in 2009 for Lacoste.
