Zalando explores the potential of ChatGpt as a fashion wardrobe assistant

One of the largest online clothing, footwear and accessories marketplaces in Europe, Zalando, is ready to launch the first beta version of a “fashion assistant” powered by ChatGpt technology to use the full potential of artificial intelligence in organizing a convenient search for fashion products for its users. .it.

Thanks to the "fashionable assistant" based on artificial intelligence, platform customers will be able to more easily navigate the assortment of the online platform, the company believes.

For example, a client might ask “What should I wear to a wedding in Madrid in May?” and the ChatGpt assistant will understand that this is a formal event, be able to predict what the weather will be like in Madrid in May and provide written clothing recommendations based on this data.

In the future, Zalando notes, responses could be combined with user preferences, such as brands they follow and products available in their sizes, to offer an even more personalized selection of products.

The first beta version of the fashion assistant will be launched to a select group of customers of the online platform this spring with support in English and German and will be available in Germany, Ireland, the UK and Austria.

“Our customers have always been at the center of everything we do. As the fashion e-commerce leader in Europe for 15 years, we are constantly introducing new technologies to improve their shopping experience. We're excited to experiment with ChatGpt to help them discover fashion they'll love," said Tian Su, Vice President of Personalization and Recommendations at Zalando.
