Online shoe retailer Zappos has developed a new curious concept for posting and hiring employees. Zappos plans to hire at least 450 people this year, but candidates will not be able to find job ads in the usual sources (like professional social networks or the company's official website).
Zappos came up with a special social network called Zappos Insiders. A person who wants to work for a company must definitely join this network. There, he will need to communicate with specialists already working in Zappos, demonstrate his desire to work and loyalty to the company - in some cases publicly. And perhaps recruiters will notice their eagerness and invite them for an interview when the vacancy opens. So the retailer is trying to solve a common problem for many companies - to make the hiring process faster and easier, as well as to have a pool of loyal and capable candidates in "access".
In addition, with the help of Zappos Insiders, specialists will be able to better know who will work with them later, even before they come to the company.
