The largest online retailers in early November created their own association to fight the sale of counterfeit goods. They moved from words to deeds - finally, the site nota-claim.ru was launched to receive consumer complaints.
On the site you can report fake products purchased in online stores that are connected to the services of program participants. A check will be carried out for each application. If the product turns out to be fake, information about it will be deleted immediately from all product aggregators.
Any person or organization can report a fake product. This must be done no later than three months after purchase. The application must indicate on which service the product was found, in which online store it was purchased, attach photos of the goods and documents confirming the fact of purchase, as well as the manufacturer’s expertise (if the complaint was directed by the manufacturer). The service does not compensate for the cost of goods and expenses associated with the execution and consideration of a fake application. This applies to any possible expenses, including the cost of preparing documents, examining the goods, shipping them to the manufacturer or returning them to the seller.
If the fact of counterfeiting is legally proven, within two days the product offer is blocked on the sites of all participants of the "Nota". The first company to confirm its participation in the counterfeit detection program following a user complaint was the home appliance manufacturer Miele.
