The international men's fashion fair Pitti Uomo kicks off in Florence from June 17 to 20. It will continue with Milan Fashion Week from June 20 to 24. For its 108th edition, Pitti Uomo announces nearly 750 exhibitors, 43% of which are international, compared to 770 in January and 790 in June 2024, as well as a series of international events and projects.
Among the expected stars are Tommy Hilfiger, returning to Florence after eight years with a new menswear project, and Homme Plissé Issey Miyake as a guest of honor. Also showing their collections will be Italian designer Niccolò Pasqualetti, South Korean label Post Archive Faction (PAF), and Japanese brand Children of Discordance.
Also in the spotlight will be the new project Code Korea, created in partnership with Korea Creative Content Agency, and the collective presentations Scandinavian Manifesto, co-organized with the Danish trade fair CIFF in Copenhagen; J Quality, bringing together the excellence of Japanese craftsmanship; and China Wave, presenting the best of contemporary Chinese menswear selected by CHIC and the China National Garment Association.
In addition, there will be Spanish brands promoted by Icex and 25 French brands, largely supported by Promas and Défi.
This summer session, Pitti Uomo will focus on sports, integrating Becycle, the event dedicated to the world of cycling, which was launched in June 2024. This section will bring together brands linked to cycling, such as Colnago, Passoni, Ashmei and Pas Normal Studios, and will be integrated into the “I Go Out” space dedicated to contemporary outdoor activities.
Milan Fashion Week has 81 events scheduled, including 44 presentations and 15 fashion shows. Among the big names are Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani and Prada.
British designer Paula Smith will hold a show at her Milan showroom on June 21, with Vivienne Vestwood presenting.
Also debuting at Milan Fashion Week are Setchu by Japanese designer Satoshi Kuwata, winner of the 2023 LVMH Prize (June 20); the historic Fiorucci label currently undergoing a relaunch; and Qasimi, the menswear label led by Hoor Al Qasimi, originally from the United Arab Emirates.
