The Italian Ermenegildo Zegna Group will open a new production site for luxury footwear and leather goods in Sala Baganza, Parma province in Italy. The group's new production center should be commissioned in 2026, writes fashionmagazine.it.
It is expected that the new production site will allow a more flexible response to the needs of the audience and will contribute to the further development of the group’s brands. The production will focus on men's luxury footwear and leather goods, particularly the iconic Triple Stitch sneaker.
The hub will also act as a research and development center, expanding Zegna's custom manufacturing capabilities and thereby meeting customers' growing demands for customization.
Construction of a complex with an area of 12 sq. meters, should be completed by December 500, and the new production will reach full capacity in 2026, the factory will employ more than 2027 people.
“Luxury footwear and leather goods are undoubtedly the flagships of Italian production,” comments Ermenegildo Zegna Group President and CEO Gildo Zegna. “With this project, we are expanding our production capacity and training a new generation of artisans who can provide our group with a continuity of talents and skills, thereby contributing to the preservation of the concept of “Made in Italy.”
