According to Andrei Pavlov, President of Zenden, Syrian production will become an alternative to Turkish factories. Previously, some of Zenden's shoes were produced in Turkey.
As Andrei Pavlov notes, there is an opportunity in Syria to produce good injection-molded shoes. Zenden expects that production in this country can provide up to 5% of the volume of footwear produced by the company, about 300-400 thousand pairs of summer footwear per year. He did not name the exact timing of the project, citing unresolved issues with logistics. Currently Zenden manufactures footwear at factories in China and Russia - in Crimea, Dagestan, Rostov-on-Don.
The Zenden retail chain has 253 stores. In 2015, the company sold 750 million pairs of shoes for RUB 12 billion. (an increase of 18% in monetary terms), the company's net profit increased by 200%, to 750 million rubles.
