AliExpress outpaced Facebook traffic

In May 2015, more than 22 million people visited the Chinese online store AliExpress - more than the number of users of the Facebook social network.

Last month, the audience of AliExpress.com totaled 22,627 million people, according to TNS Russia, which, however, did not take into account the mobile application and mobile versions of the site. Back in April, AliExpress lagged behind the monthly Facebook audience by 3,354 million people.

The main turnover of the Chinese online site is provided by orders from Russia, Brazil and the USA. According to Director of AliExpress Business Development in Russia and the CIS, Mark Zavadsky, the stabilization of the ruble led the Russian division to May successes, despite the fact that earlier growth slowed down. The growing popularity of the resource is also associated with active media coverage of the company, which fueled the interest of customers, said Zavadsky.
