Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady has become the face of UGG Australia's first global ad campaign

UGG Australia has announced a partnership with Tom Brady, NFL star, New England Patriots player and husband of renowned Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen. The footballer will be the face of the first UGG Australia menswear campaign starting in the new Fall / Winter 2011 season. The three-time American Football League Super Cup champion will be working with the renowned brand for several years and will include casual footwear, outerwear and accessories.

“This contract opens a new page for UGG Australia, and we feel the choice of Tom Brady to be the face of the first advertising campaign is ideal,” says Angel Martinez, Chairman and CEO of Deckers Outdoor. "Brady is the epitome of the contemporary casual style that characterizes all of our collections, he is the standard player on the field and the standard of style outside it."

Since the 1978 of the year, when Australian Brian Smith first introduced high-quality sheepleather boots in the United States, UGG Australia has significantly expanded its range. Today, the men's line is represented by a diverse collection of home and casual shoes, outerwear and a line of accessories for men.

The history of the UGG Australia brand began in the 1978 year when Brian Smith, a surfer from Australia, brought sheepleather shoes to America. A new stage in the development of the brand began in 1998, when the UGG Australia brand was bought by the American company Deckers and began its successful development in the USA. Thanks to further rapid development, the UGG Australia brand received the “Brand of the Year” title in the USA in the 1998 year and took a place alongside the world's best luxury brands.

In March 2010 of the year, the UGG Australia brand was recognized as the brand of the year in the UK and received the prestigious Drapes Footwear Awards.
