Germany’s largest shoe exhibition GDS is under the control of the organizer of the largest fashion exhibition in Eastern Europe CPM - Collection Première Moscow - Igedo Company. The place and dates of the autumn event of the shoe exhibition will change.
On February 7-9, the GDS will be held for the last time directly at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition complex. The GDS autumn exhibition starts in late August - early September 2017 and will be held in Düsseldorf in the space of the Areal Böhler exhibition complex, according to the official press release of the German exhibition company.
President and CEO Messe Düsseldorf Werner Mathias Dornshait stated that the changes that are taking place in the shoe industry require modernization of the concept of the GDS shoe exhibition, and in this regard it will be right to transfer the management of the exhibition to a separate company. “The Igedo Company is an ideal partner for this task,” he said.
Igedo Company has a huge history in organizing exhibitions in the field of fashion. Founded in Düsseldorf back in 1949, the company organizes events such as the largest exhibition of fashion clothes and accessories CPM in Eastern Europe - Collection Première Moscow and the international fashion exhibition THE GALLERY Düsseldorf, the latter, by the way, also takes place at the Düsseldorf Areal Böhler exhibition complex. and is spread over an area of 12000 m².
Despite the change of head organizer of GDS, the Moscow office of Messe Düsseldorf will continue to be engaged in marketing and advertising the exhibition in Moscow. Deputy Managing Director Messe Dusseldorf Moscow Michael Mandel stated that a change in the head organizer would not mean a change in the quality of services that GDS provides its exhibitors, as the exhibition is transferred to the Igedo Company, which has extensive experience in organizing exhibitions in the fashion industry.
