Kotofey will control the use of its trademark

Yegoryevsk-Obuv informs about its intention to track and suppress unauthorized use of the Kotofey trademark.

The factory management intends to conclude agreements regulating legal relations between the manufacturer - owner of the Kotofey trademark and sellers - company stores throughout Russia. Representatives of Yegoryevsk-Obuv explain that the new document provides the right to use a trademark, sets the standards for TM Kotofey brand stores, gives them priority in providing goods and excludes the possibility of selling positions of other brands for them. Only after the conclusion of such an agreement the store becomes branded and can use the brand name and logo in its name. Kotofey, in turn, guarantees the support of the company network by organizing advertising events, providing advertising and POS materials, and conducting training for store employees.

The manufacturer of popular children's shoes plans to expand the network of branded stores TM “Kotofey”. Now there are more than 70. In the future, the number will increase to 200.

However, the desire to develop and expand the network of company stores does not mean infringement of the rights and interests of representatives of other distribution channels, the factory said. Multi-brand stores, in the assortment of which there are Kotofey shoes, also have the right to use promotional products with the image of a trademark for external and internal design, but the name of the store in this case should be different from the name of the brand. The measures taken will help protect the trademark from misuse.
