South Korean LG Electronics Inc., one of the world's largest electronics and home appliance companies, has received a patent for its smart shoe design. This became known from a document published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), writes androidheadlines.com.
The latest LG patent says that. that the company is making an application for the release of “smart” shoes, which will integrate an accelerometer, gyroscope and other sensors.
At the bottom of the shoe on the sole is a distributed network of pressure sensors. The rest of the equipment is installed closer to the insole and is integrated into the shoe lining.
The patent includes technology for measuring steps, pedaling, heart rate and distance traveled. Smart shoes will also be able to track the position of the foot while walking or other activities. That will provide a more complete picture of the general state of human health.
Together with ThinQ artificial intelligence technology and a smartphone-based user interface, the invention will be able to inform the user about how he moves and give recommendations on changing the load on certain parts of the foot. The release dates of the product and its design have not yet been announced.
