Tariff for use of GTIN by manufacturers and importers of labeled goods has been determined

The annual tariff for membership in the association of manufacturers and importers of goods subject to mandatory labeling, which allows labeling participants to generate codes and use GTIN product identifiers, will be 3000 rubles per year.

This tariff is considered preferential, it was determined during the signing of an agreement between the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), the National Catalog and the Association of Automatic Identification "UNISCAN / GS1 RUS" (the national organization of the International Association GS1 in Russia). For other members of the GS1 International Non-Profit Association, the entry and renewal of membership in it is 25 and 000 rubles, respectively.

It is worth noting that the entry into the association of manufacturers and importers of labeled goods for participants in the labeling process is mandatory. Without this, companies will not be able to use GS1 standards, which means they will not be able to describe the product and work with the product catalog.

When creating a system for marking and traceability of goods, the MDCT used GS1 standards as the basic standards of the system, as the most widely used world standards for the identification and description of goods. As noted in the press release of the MDCT, the majority of trade participants worldwide are members of GS1 and use barcodes according to association standards.

“Participation in the association enables manufacturers and importers to receive the global prefix of the enterprise (GCP) and production sites (or one, if there is one) - GLN. On GCP, a range of product codes - GTIN, which are tied to a specific GCP (manufacturer, importer) will be allocated.

The use of identifiers allows both to streamline domestic trade, including the fight against gray imports in the long term, and to provide participants with the opportunity to talk about their goods on the world market: these identifiers are used by the whole world, ”the CRPT press service said.

It is assumed that the technical integration of information systems of the National Catalog and GSNUMX RUS to ensure online data synchronization will be completed before the end of the 1 year.
