Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors are the best-selling luxury brands on the Internet, analysts at the American PMX Agency came to this conclusion during the annual analysis of the promotion of luxury brand products on the Web.
Based on the results of a previous study, PMX Agency stated that Ralph Lauren was the best-selling luxury brand on the Web, with a market share of 19,2% in the luxury online market. Ralph Lauren made one of five visits by users interested in luxury products on the Internet.
However, this year Ralph Lauren took second place (with a market share of 18,5%), losing to Michael Kors. The brand’s website has become the most visited this year. American manufacturer of leather bags Coach Inc. took third place in the list of the largest luxury sellers of the Network (with a market share of 12%), followed by brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci, whose market shares are 9.5% and 5.3%, respectively.
In general, the major brands from the TOP-10 continue to receive most of the profits from online sales. Among them are brands such as Chanel, Burberry, Hermès, Louboutin and Versace.
At the same time, 52% of the traffic to luxury brand websites is provided by users of smartphones and tablets. And more than half of the visits are made from search engines.
