Each of the countries specializes in a certain type of footwear. For example, China produces mass-market casual shoes, India specializes in textile footwear, Brazil specializes in fashionshoes at affordable prices.
The United States remains the largest consumer of shoes (official imports are 2,2 billion pairs), followed by Japan and Germany. On the Old Continent, the countries of Eastern Europe became the leaders of consumption - 2,35 billion pairs. China sells 1,9 billion pairs domestically, India - 880 million pairs.
