Tamaris will develop franchising business in Russia

The German shoe brand Tamaris, operating in the medium / medium + segment, plans to actively develop the franchise market in the Russian market. Our country for Tamaris today is the second market after Germany, but in terms of the number of open single-brand stores in Russia, Tamaris is only at the beginning of its journey. So far, there are about 30 branded areas from 1000 around the world.

“We are ready to be actively involved in franchising,” said Friedrich Naumann, General Director of Wortmann Vostok LLC (Tamaris brand). - This requires high popularity of the brand on the market, and we have become more active in this direction. In particular, Tamaris has appeared in social networks, we are increasing our activity in advertising and PR. I can say that in the near future we have set ambitious goals, in the achievement of which our regional representatives help us. Thus, the Tamaris team is harmoniously developing the brand in all regions of the country at once, focusing its attention on cities with a population of over 500 thousand people ”.

During the five years that the German brand has been operating in the Russian market, the growth dynamics have been extremely optimistic, according to Naumann. Tamaris is certainly not immune to general volatility and currency fluctuations, but management is optimistic. “It is this challenging time that opens up tremendous growth prospects for us, as Tamaris has a unique selling proposition and we have something to offer our partners. In Russia, the number of shopping centers is growing, which generate demand for worthy shoe brands with an original concept. Tamaris is of great interest to them as a brand that, on the one hand, is only at the beginning of its franchise path in Russia, and on the other, has already managed to prove its success in Europe, ”said Friedrich Naumann.
