According to the German concern Wortmann, in the fall of this year, the Tamaris brand opens its first online store. Targeted in the development of the 1 brand in Europe, Tamaris is opening its own online store in addition to such well-established marketing communications as print media, outdoor advertising and television. Given the increasingly complex market requirements, this approach will significantly accelerate the process of becoming a brand as one of the most popular European brands. Today, the Internet is an extremely important communication platform and an international brand showcase in all business segments.

“Not a step without an online store or, in other words, without an online store, there is no brand! The opportunity to represent all Tamaris brand competencies in all its manifestations is an invaluable advantage of this store, ”said Jens Beining, Managing Director and Partner of the limited partnership of the Wortmann shoe holding company. 

“The Tamaris online store will fundamentally strengthen the image of the Tamaris brand and its presence in European and other markets.” From September, the Tamaris Fall-Winter 2012 / 13 collection will go on sale online in Germany and Austria on sites www.tamaris.de и www.tamaris.at. Other countries will follow.

In the current fiscal year 2011-2012 (as of May 31 2012), the Wortmann group of companies expects a total trade turnover of 995 million euros. In the previous year, the company's turnover amounted to 957,7 million euros. With approximately 31 million pairs of shoes for the fashion segment and 27 million pairs of shoes for the standard segment, the group of companies is one of the largest shoe manufacturing and marketing companies in Europe. In Europe, the company is represented by brands such as Tamaris, MarcoTozzi, C, Jana и s.Oliver-shoes; in Asia - NewFootwearFareastLtd. Today, the company has more than 1 021 employees worldwide (930 last year), of which about 582 in Europe. More than 30 000 workers around the world are manufacturing shoes for a group of companies from the German city of Detmold. Wortmann shoes are successfully sold in more than 15 000 shoe stores located in more than 70 countries around the world.
