"TsentrObuv" is suing the trademark

The TsentrObuv company filed a lawsuit against the Voronezh businessman. The case will be considered on May 7. The essence of the claim is the exploitation of the CenterObuv trademark by the entrepreneur.

As it turned out, the defendant owned a store, the name of which almost exactly corresponded to the name of the plaintiff's company, with the exception of the last letter, which was changed to “and” - ie. it was the same name, but in a different case. The appearance of the store sign also resembled the standard design of the sign of the TsentrObuv company.

As a punishment, the court may impose a fine on the accused and disqualify him (the legislation of the Russian Federation provides for the possibility of depriving the accused of the right to conduct entrepreneurial activities and occupy senior positions).
