RCSC Retail Section “The Challenge of Time: New Rules of the Game and International Fates in Russia”

2014 was a turning point for many companies in terms of both tactics and development strategy. At the end of last year, new network players announced that they were suspending their expansion into the Russian market, and already present retailers began to reduce the number of stores and optimize their business models. Developers, on the other hand, are forced to invent new schemes for filling vacant premises, while an ordinary buyer, meanwhile, has generally fallen into a state of "economy" and is in no hurry to spend money on at least emotional purchases. We will discuss the reasons, summarize and share our strategic plans for 2015 at the RCSC Retail Section - the final project of the Russian Council of Shopping Centers on December 10, 2014.
