Adidas AG boosted profit despite falling sales in Russia and the CIS

Over the nine months of 2016, the net profit of the German manufacturer of sportswear and accessories Adidas AG increased one and a half times compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1,027 billion euros.

Diluted earnings per share in January-September increased to 5,01 euros from 3,54 euros. The company's revenue in annual terms also increased - by 14,6%, to 14,604 billion euros.

At the same time, in the first nine months of 2016, the company's revenue in Russia and the CIS decreased by 10,2% to 505 million euros. The quarterly indicator remained at the level of last year - 195 million euros.
