Skateboarder, artist, designer and part-time model - Blondie McCoy rethought her favorite silhouette of adidas Originals Superstar 80s sneakers. The inspiration for the new design was the spirit of the London quarter of Soho that was special for him.
Blondie remained faithful to the aesthetics of the iconic Superstar silhouette, complementing it with original details of the skateboarding subculture that accurately reflect his unique style.
The top of the sneakers is made of transparent material, which effectively combines with branded three adidas stripes, a white tongue, leather inserts for laces, an authentic rubber shell toe and a contrasting rubber sole. A gold “BLONDEY” caption completes the updated look.
In addition to sneakers, in collaboration with Blondie, several variations of high socks came out, with an abstract pattern of the River Thames, classic three stripes and the words "Picadilly & Oxford" and "St. Giles & Cambridge ”in blue and red, with“ Blondey ”and“ adidas ”lettering in white.
Superstar 80s by Blondey sneakers with a set of socks are packed in a special customized box. In Moscow, a limited edition collection will be available for purchase at the October Skate Shop from December 14.
