The creative director of luxury footwear brand Bally, Pablo Coppola, has partnered with Parisian graffiti artist Andre Saravia, who works under the pseudonym Mr. A, to create an exclusive capsule collection. The Bally x André capsule collection is inspired by the interpretation of the classic Bally riding boot.
This collaboration has its own story. Saravia found a pair of Bally 1973 boots of the year in a vintage store and decided to make a replica of this shoe model for her girlfriend.
Andre worked on the redesign together with Coppola, and in the process it turned out to release not only a new model of shoes, but also to create a line of leather accessories for it, which are marked with the logo of the artist Mr. A.
Saravia's work was presented at the 54 Venice Biennale and at an exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, he was creative director of the French fashion magazine L'Officiel Hommes and collaborated with many fashion brands, including Louis Vuitton.
In 1980 he began his artistic career as a graffiti artist on the streets of Paris.
The Bally x André collection will be available in select stores of the brand from October 2016 and will arrive in the brand's online boutique in France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the USA.
