According to the new resolution, all transactions related to the purchase of leather raw materials in Belarus must be pre-approved by the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, writes Worldfootwear.com.
A ban on the export of leather raw materials was established in Belarus in order to stimulate the development of the leather industry in the country. The relevant decree was signed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on June 20. Corresponding amendments were made to Decree No.6 of May 7 of May 2012 of the year “On stimulating entrepreneurial activity in the territory of small and medium cities in rural areas”.
Potential buyers of leather raw materials in Belarus should receive a special license approved by the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.
