One of the world leaders in the production of sports goods, the German company Adidas AG, announced its financial results in 2011 year. According to the company, its net profit amounted to 671 million euros, which is 18,2% higher than in the 2010 year.
According to the report, sales of Adidas in 2011 increased by 11,3%, amounting to 13,34 billion euros, and in the fourth quarter, the figure increased by 11% - to 3,26 billion euros, the website shopandmall.ru writes.
In the fourth quarter, the group’s net profit increased 2,6 times and amounted to 18 million euros. Nevertheless, it was lower than analysts' expectations, on average forecasting an indicator of 19 million euros.
In the 2012 year, Adidas predicts moderate sales growth and expects to increase its volume due to the European Football Championship, which will be held in Poland and Ukraine, as well as the Olympic Games in London, where the company acts as the official sponsor.
