Christian Louboutin created a bag based on Mayan culture

Mexicaba - this name was given to the bag created by the French shoe designer Christian Louboutin in collaboration with the artists of the Taller Maya foundation, whose mission is to preserve the traditions of the ancient culture of the Mayan people, writes hollywoodreporter.com.

This is a unique handmade bag woven from cotton fibers, decorated with traditional Mayan embroidery, bone and wooden beads and drawings based on mythical wild animals. The inside of the bag is lined with traditional skulls of the Mexican traditional holiday “Day of the Dead”, which, according to Lubuten, personify the spirits of the keepers of things.

Mexicaba bag is sold at Christian Louboutin boutiques and at christianlouboutin.com online store for $ 1490.

10% of proceeds from the sale of Mexicaba bags go to support the activities of Taller Maya.
