The new Clarks CEO will be Italian Manager Giorgio Presca, who previously served as CEO of Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. And in the period from 2012 to 2016 he headed the company Geox.
Giorgio Presca will take office in a month. He was appointed six months after the resignation of his predecessor Mike Shirwood. The British retailer said that Presca will be responsible for all operational, financial and commercial aspects of the business and will carry out strategic management of Clarks business together with the company's executive committee.
Behind Preska 20 years of management and development of global premium brands, mainly in the field of footwear and clothing. His last position was CEO at the Golden Goose Deluxe Brand, where he leads operational transformation, rapid growth and global brand expansion.
In the period from 2012 to 2016, he was the CEO of the Italian shoe brand Geox, where under his leadership the company changed direction and embarked on a path of active growth.
Presca has also worked for companies such as Diesel, VF Corp, Citizens of Humanity, Levi Strauss & Co. and Lotto.
“He has vast experience and is well aware of the specifics of the shoe industry,” commented Tom O'Neill, chairman of the Board of Directors of Clarks, on the appointment.
