Expensive shoes sell best in times of crisis

The luxury goods market, as the most stable segment of the fashion market, grew by 3 percent last year and amounted to 224 billion euros, in the coming years it is forecasted to grow by another 4-6 percent. According to experts, expensive shoes and luxury handbags are best sold during the crisis; the retailer makes a small margin to reduce customer churn and keep the total number of purchases. By 2019, the apparel market is expected to grow within 60%, while the footwear and leather accessories market is expected to be around 150, which proves the profitability of this business.
