According to a Yandex study, residents of regions are increasingly shopping online. The number of people who prefer to buy online over the past year has grown throughout Russia.
The strongest growth was observed in the North-West Federal District, and the weakest in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Yevgeny Danilik, head of B2C DPD in Russia, told the portal that “in recent years, the Moscow region market has become oversaturated, e-commerce has turned its attention to the regions. Undoubtedly, the North-West District, led by the northern capital, is the most promising in terms of the level of income of the population, the development of logistics, penetration and cost of the Internet. "
The largest average check was recorded in the capital, and the smallest in the Volga region.
