To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its most popular shoe, Grant Hill 2, sportswear brand FILA has launched a limited edition Grant Hill 2 sneaker in collaboration with basketball star Brand Ambassador Grant Hill. This shoe was worn by an NBA player for the first time in 1996.
Grant Hill 2 is one of the most coveted and recognizable FILA shoe models. It was the second in a series of athletic basketball shoes designed for NBA star Grant Hill in the 90s and is still popular today for its bold graphic designs and innovative materials.
The new Grant Hill 2 collection features a familiar silhouette in two original colorways. The models also have a number of new design additions, for example, on the toe, insole and adjustable strap on the heel of the shoe, you can see the number “25”, just below the triangular FILA logo is Hill's signature.
Founded in 1911 by the Phil brothers, the textile business had grown into a full-fledged premium knitwear brand by 1923. The end of the 60s saw a change in course for the company and a turn towards athletes, and in the mid-1990s, thanks to a contract with NBA player Grant Hill, the brand rose to the second place in sales of basketball shoes. Until now, the brand produces clothing and equipment for professional tennis, swimming, cricket, skiing and other sports.
