French luxury group LVMH has selected 23 new startups to participate in LVMH's La Maison des Startups program, which promotes innovative solutions for the luxury industry. In total, more than 400 applicants took part in the startup competition, which is being held for the seventh time.
The competition was open to projects covering six strategic themes: 3D and Virtual Products, Omnichannel and Retail, Employee Experience and Corporate Social Responsibility, Operational and Manufacturing Excellence, Media and Brand Awareness, and Sustainability.
Launched in 2018, the program runs for six months and is hosted at Station F (the world's largest startup campus in Paris) and remotely from 2020 to provide selected startups with the opportunity to connect with key stakeholders from the LVMH Maisons.
The goal is to come up with new creative and innovative services and products for the luxury industry through a series of demo sessions, e-seminars and events. Since the launch of the program, La Maison des Startups has organized more than 285 joint projects between LVMH fashion houses and start-ups.
For example, the AI-powered Replika app has enabled Sephora to turn customers and merchants into online brand ambassadors, while Orbis has supported Swiss watch brand Zenith in showcasing cutting-edge holographic product presentations in boutiques around the world.
