Detsky Mir Group begins expansion to India, China and Arab countries

GC Detsky Mir, successfully developing in Russia and having its own funds, plans to enter India, Arab countries and China. With the pace of the annual opening of new stores on 200-300, Detsky Mir will soon saturate the market for children's goods in Russia and will be close to the requirement of antitrust laws on market share, which will slow down business growth. In connection with the beginning of January, AFK Sistema sold 23% of Detsky Mir to a Russian-Chinese investment fund for almost 10 billion rubles in order to gain international expertise and try to spread Detsky Mir outside Russia.

Recall that today the Detsky Mir chain has 382 stores in 148 cities in Russia and Kazakhstan.
