Obuv Rossii Group of Companies has opened 157 new stores in the 9 months of the 2019 year, the report says. Thus, the group’s retail network at 30.09.2019 of the year amounted to 895 stores (of which 172 are franchised) in the 361 city of Russia. 

“We are ahead of our plans to expand our retail network this year, and by the start of the main autumn-winter season we have launched more than 150 new stores of our own. In regions, especially in small cities, there is a low level of competition and global and federal players are poorly represented, therefore, expanding our presence in small settlements allows us to increase the company's market share and strengthen our position throughout the country, ”commented the director of the Obuv Rossii group of companies »Anton Titov. - According to DISCOVERY Research Group, in the Russian footwear market in the 1 half-year there is a slight positive dynamics, and, according to experts, the market will grow slowly over the next 3-5 years. A diversified assortment that includes not only shoes, but also clothing and related products, the development of additional services and an omnichannel trading model allows us to expand our customer audience and increase sales even in conditions of low consumer activity. ” 

Over the 9 months, Obuv Rossii significantly expanded the geography of sales, having mastered more than 130 new cities. The company is developing a retail network throughout the country, the largest number of discoveries was in the Siberian Federal District - 43%. The group's positions in the Far East, in the Volga Region and in the Urals have strengthened — 19%, 18% and 17% of all open stores, 3% of new outlets are located in the North-Western part of Russia. In accordance with the development strategy, the company primarily launched stores in the street retail format - 91%, 9% of the new stores earned in shopping centers. Most of the discoveries (99,4%) came from the retail brand Westfalika.

GC "Shoes of Russia" founded in 2003 year, has a headquarters in Novosibirsk and an office in Moscow. Engaged in the production and sale of footwear and related products. The company operates 887 stores (172 operates under a franchise) under the brands Westfalika, Pedestrian, Rossita, Emilia Estra and Lisette, and also develops shoes and clothing brands for an active lifestyle S-tep, all.go and Snow Guard, owns two shoe factories in the Novosibirsk region. In 2018, the group's revenue amounted to 11,55 billion rubles, net profit - 1,33 billion rubles, EBITDA - 2,86 billion rubles.
