Grodno shoe factory “Neman” increased export by 28,4%

Grodno shoe factory "Neman" in January-July this year increased exports by 28,4% to $ 523 thousand compared to the same period last year. The agency BELTA writes about this with reference to the words of Alla Zharina, Deputy Director for Marketing and Sales of the enterprise.

The deputy director noted that this year interest in the company's products on the markets of non-CIS countries has revived, while deliveries to Russia have slightly decreased. A small drop in exports to the Russian Federation is explained, according to Alla Zharina, by the presence of significant stocks of Russian shoe-makers since last year. Nevertheless, the largest share of Russia is 65% of the total export of the enterprise. The rest falls on Mongolia (16%), Latvia (14%), Lithuania and Estonia. According to the results of the year, the enterprise should increase exports by 17%.

The company began to supply products to Mongolia this year. Shoes worth $ 83,4 thousand have already been sold to this country. At the end of the year, the factory will supply there (mainly women's shoes) for another $ 100 thousand. However, while shipments to Mongolia are inconsistent, the country is eyeing shoes from the Grodno manufacturer.

In January-July this year, the company produced goods at comparable prices of 23,3 billion Belarusian rubles (96% compared to the same period last year). For seven months 385 thousand pairs of shoes were produced. Half of the products are children's shoes, about 30% are men’s, 20% are women’s. Stocks of finished products of the enterprise as of August 1 amounted to 133% with the norm of 160%.

Revenue from sales of products increased in January-July compared with the same period last year by 57,3% to 38,1 billion Belarusian rubles. Net profit increased by 35,5% to 2,2 billion Belarusian rubles. Profitability of sales increased by 3,7 percentage points to 15,2%. Return on sales increased by 2,4 percentage points to 11,2%. According to the results of seven months, investments in fixed assets amounted to 205 million Belarusian rubles.
Grodno shoe factory "Neman", founded in 1947, produces men's, women's and children's shoes from natural leather and textile materials. The trade marks of the enterprise are “Neman”, “Elefas”, “Lady-N”, “Assol” and “Jumbo”. The factory is part of the Bellegprom concern.
