French fashion house Hermes a year later received a patent for the design of sneakers Hermes and will now be able to protect their intellectual rights by the letter of the law.
The patent applies to Hermes sneakers for men - Lions sneakers, which have distinctive black and white inserts forming the letter “H” on shoes. Pierre Hardy, designer of Hermes shoes and accessories, came up with this model, but there has always been a lot of controversy over copyright issues around her. Prior to obtaining a patent for Lions sneakers, the company could not legally attract manufacturers of shoes with the same design.
