The Russian shoe retailer Kari plans to open its own shoe factory, ”RBC writes with reference to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Rospatent, as well as confirmation from the future general director of the factory, Vitaly Chobanu.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, in May 2017, Tula Obuv LLC was registered, which is Kari owned by 99%. The main activity of the new enterprise is the production of shoes. And according to Rospatent, Kari has filed an application for the trademark “Tula shoe enterprise”.
According to Vitaliy Chobanu, who until 2017 was the deputy general director of the production unit of the Bris-Bosphorus group of LLC Vetanna with a factory in Novorossiysk, the Kari shoe production project is now under development. The company selects a site for construction.
Kari was founded by Igor Yakovlev, creator and former owner of the Eldorado network. As of February 2017, the network operated KNI 638 shoe stores for women and men, and KNUMX 67 shoe stores for children. The company's revenue in 2016 year, according to SPARK-Interfax, amounted to 31,5 billion rubles.
