The Chinese will build factories in St. Petersburg

The authorities of St. Petersburg during their visit to China supported the idea of Asian entrepreneurs to create an industrial park of light industry in the Krasnoselsky district of the city. They are ready to give the Chinese four hectares of land for the construction of factories for the sewing of shoes and clothes, as well as the production of accessories. The leaders of St. Petersburg assure that Chinese factories will produce inexpensive goods according to the highest quality standards and the most advanced technologies.

“The most important thing is that they offer technologically advanced equipment of the highest quality,” commented Vyacheslav Makarov, Chairman of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. “Previously, Chinese businessmen worked for quantity, and now they are already working for quality.”

Note that the St. Petersburg market is the second largest regional consumer market in Russia.
