Until March 24, 2023, the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman pavilion at VDNKh in Moscow hosts the exhibition Dressed in Luxury. Art Deco Woman”, where one of the world's best collections of shoes and shoe accessories is presented.
The exhibition of items from private collections presents works by artists such as Pietro Yantorni, Andre Perugia, Israel Miller, Salvatore Ferragamo. Among the exhibits of the shoe collection are the heritage of Hellstern & Sons, Netch et Frater, Francois Pinet, Sax Fifth Avenue. There is also a collection of celluloid heels, a special type of shoe accessories from the Art Deco period, raised by French craftsmen to the height of shoe art.
Exhibition “Dressed in luxury. Art Deco Woman” in Moscow is dedicated to the cultural heritage of the 1920s. and the art deco style characteristic of that era. More than 4 exhibits from private collections are exhibited on 300 floors of the exposition. Unique pairs of shoes coexist with vintage dresses embroidered with glass beads and beads, bags, accessories, corsets and a collection of underwear. The exhibition is complemented by vintage photographs, fashion magazine covers and fragrances from the 20s.
The exposition of the exhibition presents collections from private collections of admirers of the 1920s - early 1930s:
Nazim and Elena Mustafaev (dresses, shoes, accessories); Anton Priymak (underwear and corsets); Ksenia Potapova (vintage covers, illustrations); Pavel Kartashov (bags from the Art Deco period); Elina Arsenyeva (flavors of time).
