KOMSOMALL forever

The development holding DVI Group has resumed work on the construction of the largest shopping and entertainment complex (SEC) KomsoMALL in Irkutsk, which was purchased unfinished from an Irkutsk investor in 2011, RIA Novosti reports.

In 2011, DVI bought out from an Irkutsk company a frozen project for the construction of the Continetal shopping and entertainment complex in the center of Irkutsk and renamed the complex into KomsoMALL. According to DVI's previously announced plans, the mall will house more than 100 stores, a multifunctional entertainment area, which will include a cinema center, a bowling alley and a children's entertainment center. The second phase of the facility will be occupied by a grocery hypermarket. The total area of ComsoMALL will be about 75 thousand square meters. m, of which rent - about 45 thousand sq. m.

DVI intended to complete the project in 2012, however, the company had to make changes to the project and coordinate them.

“Construction of KomsoMALL in Irkutsk has resumed. Now a town of builders is being set up there, materials are being delivered, ”the source said. According to the company's plans, the shopping mall should be commissioned in December 2013. The contractor for the project is the construction company "Strategy" (Volgograd).

The necessary amount of investment to complete the DVI project has not yet been disclosed. Earlier, the project for the implementation of the Irkutsk shopping center was estimated at $ 40 million, reports retailer.ru.

Currently, there are two modern shopping and entertainment centers in Irkutsk, each of them is half the size of the DVI project.
