The largest shoe online store Zappos has been hacked

Hackers broke into the security system of the largest shoe store Zappos online, stealing data on 24 millions of its customers.

According to Lenta.ru, the attackers gained access to the names, email addresses, mobile phone numbers and the last four digits of credit cards of people who registered on the Zappos website. The site is currently down. The company's clients received letters aleatherg them to change their passwords to access their purchases.

The hacker attack on Zappos could also hit Amazon’s reputation: one of the largest online trading sites in 2009 acquired Zappos for 1,2 billion dollars. The newspaper Argumenty i Fakty writes about this.
