Maison Margiela opens pop-up stores to present their iconic Tabi shoes at Dover Street Market in London, New York and Los Angeles.
A distinctive feature of Tabi shoes is a forked nose, which was borrowed from Japanese culture. Tabi Shoes was developed by the founder of Maison Margiela Martin Margiela back in 1983 and became a real brand name.
In the spring 2018 pre-collection, the Tabi silhouette reappears as stilettos thanks to John Galliano, who has been creative director of the French fashion house Maison Margiela since 2015.
Pop-up stores will feature 7 exclusive Tabi shoes for men and women. They will be presented along with the new Maison Margiela spring-summer'19 collection. Trading spaces are open from January 11 to February 6 in New York, from January 12 to 30 in Los Angeles, and from February 12 to 14 in London.
